UGG Lowmel Sand beige dans un décor intérieur avec des accessoires d’hiver

How to clean your UGG shoes: choosing the right method

Before cleaning a pair of UGG shoes, identify its reference and materials. A Lowmel with several textile panels should not be treated as one uniform surface. Start with the instructions for the model and the care product, rather than a recipe for the whole brand.

Start with a simple assessment

Look at the shoes in natural light: dry dust, a local mark and a damp area call for different decisions. Check whether the stain reaches a seam, logo or adjacent material. Photographing the area before treatment can help you describe it when asking for advice.

Cleaning and drying: distinguish between UGG products

UGG advises against machine washing and dry cleaning its boots, slippers and slides. For Cleaner & Conditioner, the brand describes gentle brushing followed by a clean damp sponge with a small amount of product. Remove excess with the sponge and stuff the shoe with paper towels to support its shape. The guide presents this cleaner for the exterior of Classic boots: check compatibility before using it on a Lowmel or Evelina.

After this treatment, UGG specifies 24 hours of natural drying in a cool, ventilated place, away from sunlight and direct heat, followed by light brushing in one direction once dry. Do not shorten this time with a radiator.

Protector is applied differently: to clean, dry suede or sheepskin, from around 15 cm away, without soaking the surface; UGG also specifies 24 hours of drying. This procedure concerns this particular product. Vinegar recipes found on forums do not replace the manufacturer's instructions.

One pair can combine several materials

The Lowmel Sand combines textured panels; the Evelina Burnt Cedar has a different construction, with a strap and buckle. Identify each surface before starting. A product designed for suede is not a general instruction for laces, metal parts or every outsole.

Prepare your workspace

Use a protected surface with good light and keep the instructions nearby. Remove detachable parts only where the construction allows it. Start on a small hidden area if the instructions require it. Avoid combining products: you might no longer know which one changed the material's appearance.

Prevention before repair

After an outing, inspect the shoes and let the materials return to their normal condition before storage. Keep shoes separate from damp accessories. A simple routine helps you spot new marks and avoids rushed cleaning just before wearing them.

Consult the UGG collection for detailed instructions. Find our models in the undefined; the photographs and descriptions of each reference help identify your pair.
